Christmas in my town house

Image
Using Sheena card I coloured the background with Aqua pens blending with glycerin, I sprinkled water over the finished background, blotting to create texture. The moon was lifted out using the foe bleaching method and once dry I used the clear overlay sparkle pen on the moon to make it glisten.  The edge of the card was then blended with black soot distress ink. From Sheena Douglas's Monkingbird Hill range I die cut the Our house die twice, I cut one house off at the roof and the other die cut off just below the upstairs window.  I then attached the roof top part to the other die allowing me to create a townhouse. I used the Aqua pens to colour in the house and placed a silver glitter card behind the windows and door which gave the effect that the house was lit up from within. The accessories which are the tree and lamp post are from the Mockingbird range also called Fun in the snow, these too were coloured with Aqua pens and gold glitter card was placed ...

Butterflies

I completed this project for the monthly competition on Facebook in a group called Sheena's Ink-ettes  and was fortunate enough to be chosen as the winner. First I stamped part of the steampunk woman's face and when dry I covered this with drawing gum. The background was made using glycerin and Aqua pens, when dry brusho was applied and activated with waster, distress ink, black soot was used on the edge of the card. I used Sheen's stamp day of the dead butterfly rose and a little bit sketchy something in the air coloured with Aqua pens and stamped with jet black Stazon. Hope you like...

Create A Flower

Image
Using Sheena Douglas's new 'Create A Flower' dies and stencils I created the above canvas. Using Pebeo modeling paste over one of the stencils, allowing this to dry I then added Pebeo texture paste to the surface and added hessian for more texture. Simply using white card and the Crafter's Companion Gemini, I cut out the flowers and glued them to the canvas, once dry I painted the canvas with white Gesso. Allowing this to dry I then painted various parts of the canvas with matt Pebeo paint, then gilded with Pebeo gilding wax. I then painted three separate flowers and added them on top to finish the piece.
